To place your child's name on the waiting list, you must first attend a tour of City West. *Due to COVID-19, we have moved our information sessions and tours online. Tours are held once per month and can be registered for by clicking here! These tours showcase our childcare rooms, commercial kitchen, indoor gym, and fenced outdoor playground while providing an opportunity for families to find out about our philosophy and to ask any questions you may have. This can help families decide if City West is a good fit for them.
Wait list priority is given to staff, and parents who currently have a child enrolled in the Centre and then to families who have attended a tour. There is a minimum of 1-2 years wait time depending on the age of your child and when you are needing care.
Applying for the waitlist will not guarantee a childcare space. Parents are encouraged to keep in contact (every 3-6 months) to update their form and interest in a space, as well as to communicate flexibility with regard to start dates. If your desired starting date passes without a space being offered, your child will be removed from the wait list, unless parents communicate otherwise.
Upon being offered a childcare space within the Centre, the family has two (2) business days to respond to confirm acceptance. If the family fails to confirm their interest to secure the position, their application will be closed and the next wait list family will be contacted.
City West Childcare & Community Support Society is a non-profit society. The monthly fees for childcare are set by the Board of Directors and reviewed periodically. Parents will be informed 60 Days in advance of any fee adjustments. Our current fee schedule is found here.
